Clone Campaigns will feature many units from the new Star Wars film:
Episode II Attack Of The Clones. Firstly, we start with the 2 new civilisations:
The Republic & the Confederacy. Each of these new civilisations
come with a wide range of new units and structures that Lucasarts have
spent months making.
However, they didn't stop with just new units. They have enchanced the
overall graphics of Galactic Battlegrounds, added new units to every
civilisation, made the explosions better and also added some nice sound
to this and listened to the fans.
So, what's new?
Each civilisation gets a new Air Unit - the Air Cruiser. This baby,
as described by Lucasarts 'is the At-At of the skies'. Although very
slow, it has a massive attack of 80 with hit points of 260 - shielded!
It's built in the fortress at Tech 4.
However, don't get too excited - all the Anti Air units - ground and
sea and including Anti Air Turrets have been given an attack boost also.
Turrets have around 90 attack points, while mobile units go from average
15 to 45 attack.
Another new fighter is the A-Wing. This fast fighter is a Tech 4 upgrade
for the Rebels. Not heavy in Hit points but its speed make up for that.
If flying units are not your thing, you will find a nice surprise from
the Power Core. It now produces a unit - the Power Droid! Very cheap
to build, it's mobile and can provide your workers with a cheap power
boost. Power Cores boost work rate by 400%. However, the Power Droid
does have a smaller radius than the standed Power Core.
Shield Generators and Power Cores also now carry upgrades to help increase
sheild re-charge strenght and hit points. The Gungans also get a change
- in their buildings. They now have re-generation and will re-charge
the Hit points if damage is done - no upgrade required.
Some civilisations gain bonuses in mining and also now, a new Team Bonus
means you can trade and also build at a lower cost - details of this
will follow. Other new stuff includes Walker research that allows AT-AT
walkers to fire at air units plus, Animal Nurseries no longer require
a Power Core to increase food production.
For those of you who love making Scenarios and Campaigns - Clone Campaigns
has it ALL! Lucasarts have really spent alot of time listening to the
fans. The 'toy-box' includes Jabba The Hutt, Jango Fett, Mace Windu,
Anakin Skywalker (grown up!), Count Dooku, Royal Guards, lots of Jabba's
hench men, Mounted Sand People on Banthas, Jawas, new sources of wildlife
and food plus more maps - including Geonosis. For those who like Space
ships, Slave 1 is included, Outrider (from Shadows Of The Empire) and
the B-Wing fighter.
We believe that Clone Campaigns is essential for those of you who have
the original Galactic Battlegrounds (which you need to play Clone Campaigns).
Check back to our website as we will be adding Walkthroughs for the
new Campaigns and we would like you to send in your campaigns and scenarios.
