:: INTRODUCTION - Super Battle Droids
The infantry used by the Trade Federation had several major shortcomings that were carefully revisited by the battle droids' designers. From that research came the super battle droid, a bulkier, stronger, and more advanced version of the standard mechanical soldier.

The super battle droid requires no overriding command signal to operate, and thus has a limited degree of independence. Delicate componentry that was clearly visible in the standard battle droid design is now protected by a hardened armored body-case. Mounted on its right manipulator is a double-laser cannon built into the droid's design.

Super battle droids, like their inferior predecessors, have very rudimentary programming and are poor at formulating attack plans. They are, however, fearless and tireless, and will run at full speed into combat, their cannons extended, firing until they have reduced their targets to smoldering ruins

Trooper Recruit
This is the basic ranged combat unit. The Recruit is armed with a basic weapon.

This unit is much less effective than any other, making it an easy target for any mounted trooper. Recruits are very slow in moving and their aim is poor.

Early in the game, Trooper recruits can cause great damage to enemy workers and are great for a Tech 1 rush.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Trooper
Stronger than the Trooper Recruit. This unit is a Tech level 2 must.

It costs just as much as a Trooper Recruit, except for the upgrade cost.

Heavy Trooper
Stronger than the standard trooper, the Heavy Trooper has better armour, range and attack.

It's good in long range battles but suffers in close combat

Repeater Trooper
Stronger than any other trooper. They are able to sustain rapid fire upon their enemies.

These soldiers are a deadly killing force, with no easy way of stopping them

Strengths & Weaknesses

Anti Air
Anti Air troopers provide a good early defence against enemy air units.

A great source of early defence against advanced enemies. Soon as an enemy hits Tech 3, watch out for Air attacks. Without anti-air troopers, you will be dead in the ground.

Anti Air troopers are not very strong, so pack them in groups to be more effective.

Heavy Anti Air
Packing two missiles, these units are more deadly than the basic anti air trooper. Again, they are more effective in groups and make a great defence in early stages of the game.
