The Four Resources

There are four resources that you will need to gather in SWGB: Carbon, Food, Nova & Ore. Initially, be on the lookout for trees, or rocklike carbon deposits, which your workers can extract carbon from; and berry bushes and animals such as nerfs or banthas, which provide food.

Watch out for larger animals such as Dewbacks. Although your workers can kill smaller animals like nerfs or banthas with no effort, other animals will fight back and can kill your workers.

Hunt in groups, or use a Scout to Lurer a Dewback to your workers by shooting at it. By doing this, the Dewback will follow you to attack.

Also, be sure to take notice of greenish patches of Nova crystals, a precious commodity used for the purchase of many advanced units, structures and technology. Purple patches are ore, which are used mostly for reinforced defensive structures.

You don't need to gather Nova or Ore just yet but your workers will eventually have to in addition to gathering food and carbon.
